AscendPoint began in 2023, when Patrick Hounsell founded Fletcher Road Capital to acquire specialized marketing agencies. In January 2024 it acquired SERP Agency, and that April SERP Dental launched as a dental-specific agency focused on practice growth outcomes.
In October 2024, Sonia Hounsell joined as Co-CEO and SERP Agency became AscendPoint Agency, a holding company built to bring together the best marketing service providers in healthcare.
Since then, SERP Dental acquired SparkLyfe, AscendPoint launched the AscendVu AI product suite, and in September 2026 Medical Marketing Whiz joined as AscendPoint's second operating brand, keeping its name, its team, and its founder, Lori Werner.
Today AscendPoint builds and acquires specialist marketing brands and gives each one the AI, data, and operating muscle to help local providers acquire, retain, and grow patient relationships.
